The scheme, jointly proposed by Grosvenor Estates and Royal Bank of Scotland provides 160,000sq/ft of office space to the 'Bank' region of London. The central three-storey atrium of the existing banking hall is retained, with full height glazing to each floor adding to a grandiose appearance, and providing a huge quantity of natural light.
Our work was divided into three distinct areas, which ran concurrently. We began with the refurbishment and reinstatement of existing panelling, approximately 110 solid hardwood door & framesets, and other associated joinery to the 'heritage' areas, and Directors Suites. We then had seven floors of more conventional office space to fit out with figured, weathered Sycamore veneered doorsets, stainless steel ironmongery etc. The third area was two W.C. cores to each floor where we managed the installation of W.C. cubicles, glass doors, steel-framed vanity units, and all ironmongery and sanitary fittings.

The new six-storey interior, built for Crown Estates and designed by Architects RHWL, comprises office and retail space, along with a new two-storey cinema.
Our works comprised the refurbishment of existing timber casement windows and the installation of new secondary glazing. Other works included doorsets, ironmongery and a reception desk, along with the W.C. core fit-out package.
| Architect: T P Bennett Architects | Client: Benchmark | Value: £700,000 |
The redevelopment of 15-18 Golden Square by Wates Construction Limited provides 43,500 sq/ft of office space on the first to fifth floors. Retail space of 12,000 sq/ft is on the ground and lower-ground floors, with a further 5,000 sq/ft created for a restaurant fronting Brewer Street.
As is common on many contracts we undertake, the works package included the WC cubicle systems and complex vanity units. The cubicle doors and flush surrounds are veneered in book-matched Australian Silky Oak, to match the 130 door and frame sets we supplied and fitted to the five floors of office space. Logs for the veneer were selected pre-contract in three grades for different areas of the building.
